POLYUS Research Institute of M.F. Stelmakh JSC offers the accredited Test Center of POLYUS Research Institute (Certificate of attestation No. 492-A dated 28/09/2012 of branch of the Federal State-Owned Enterprise of “46 Central Scientific Research Institutes of Ministry of Defense of Russia” and Accreditation certificate No. POCC RU.0001.22ME05 dated 03/12/2012 of Federal Accreditation Service) for organization and carrying out the tests in accordance with the requirements of the State standards for influence of climatic and mechanical factors: positive and negative temperature, thermal shock, thermal cycling, influence of low pressure, high and low humidity, influence of rain, frost and dew; sinusoidal vibration effect, broad-band random vibration, single and repeated shocks, vibration shock (with access to print the test results); measurement of electric parameters of chips, semiconductor devices and others electronic components (with access to print the test results).

The enterprise quality management system complies with the requirements of GOST P ISO 9001-2008 and GOST PB 15.002-2003 (Certificate of conformity No. BP 28.1.6042-2013 dated 04/06/2013 of Autonomous non-profit organization “Certification Center Svyaz-Certificate of Voluntary Certification System “Military Register”).

All works are performed when using the certified modern equipment with the software, by the trained and authorized personnel taking into account the requirements of military and civil GOSTs on contractual basis.

The Test Center allows carrying out works according to the technical requirements, the methods and the programs provided by the customer.

Laboratory of welding, soldering and heat treatment

POLYUS Research Institute JSC has own laboratory of welding, soldering and heat treatment to carry out:

  • semiautomatic spot and seam laser welding of  girth seams up to 200 mm in diameter with a horizontal axis of rotation and up to 150 mm in diameter with a vertical axis of rotation, longitudinal seams up to 220 mm long (thickness of the welded metals up to 1 mm, welded metals: ferrous and nonferrous).

  • argon-arc spot and seam welding: manual welding in the controlled environment (chamber: 1.5 m × 1.0 m × 0.87 m) and semiautomatic welding in the controlled environment (chamber: diameter is 0.45 m, height is 0.35 m) at forepumping up to 10…2 mm Hg; manual and semiautomatic welding with local protection of weld zone (girth and longitudinal seams, a thickness of the welded metals up to 3 mm, welded metals: ferrous and nonferrous); resistance spot welding of metals up to 1 mm thickness and resistance welding for semiconductor sealing (welded metals: ferrous and nonferrous except copper).

  • soldering, heat treatment of the structures of different ferrous and nonferrous metals in vacuum, in the environment of argon, hydrogen having the dimensions no more than: D=320 mm and H=400 mm; D=250 mm and H=500 mm.Loading up to 50 kg, vacuum up to 10…5 mm Hg.

A temperature of soldering, heat treatment in vacuum or argon is no more than 1200 °C, a temperature of soldering or heat treatment in hydrogen is no more than 1100 °C.

Special technology: soldering of glass-metal structures (for example, glass-metal pins in housing of devices); sealing of housing of different configurations by laser and resistance welding (for example, semiconductor device in cylindrical or rectangular housing with pins); manufacture of rectangular tubes of different sizes, manufacture of rectangular elements of housing (frames, covers, bottoms) and their connection when assembling the housing; manufacture, welding, annealing of permalloy magnetic screens of 79HM, 81HM type, etc. (dimensions 3,000x300x400 mm).

Multifunctional laser systems

POLYUS Research Institute JSC develops and makes pulsed solid-state lasers with frequency conversion in IR, visible and UV spectral ranges according to the specifications of the customer for the use in systems of ecological monitoring of air and water environments, industrial systems, metrological systems, as a part of the equipment for research in various branches of science and engineering.
