The enterprises of the Holding - Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant (UOMZ), Orion Scientific and Production Association (NPO Orion), MZ "Sapphire" and "Shvabe-Moscow" took part in the exhibition in the Netherlands. Shvabe demonstrated a number of the latest products developed within the framework of the ’Smart City’ project: software and hardware system for examining drivers of special and passenger vehicles, high-tech street light stanchion, passenger flow meter, trip payment terminal, interactive information stele with police emergency call function, a city park bench made of special composite vandal-proof material with adjustable backlighting, high-precision geodetic satellites equipment to manage urban infrastructure, quad-copter equipped with SWIR-camera. At present, many products are successfully used in practice in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Ulan-Ude and other cities of Russia.

"Intertraffic Amsterdam is one of the key international venues where you can demonstrate smart solutions for urban space. Within the framework of the event we held over 50 meetings with representatives of public and private organizations from Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, China, Mexico, the Netherlands, Russia and other countries. Foreign partners examined the novelties of the Holding enterprises with great interest. They were especially interested in our SWIR-camera, operating in tandem with an unmanned aerial vehicle" (Alexey Patrikeyev, Shvabe Director General).

SWIR-camera, developed by the specialists of Orion Scientific and Production Association, operates in the near infra-red. It can see through the fog and smoke, detect obscured objects, including those hidden behind the tinted windows of the vehicle. In tandem with the quad-copter, the possibilities of Shvabe development substantially increase. It can be used in urban transport control, for the purpose of security and anti-terror.

Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant demonstrated an innovative pedestrian navigation complex with a tourist map showing street names, public transport stops, cultural and entertainment facilities. Besides, the device is equipped with an emergency button to contact with emergency services, a 24-hour audio and video recording system for public space monitoring, as well as Wi-Fi access point and USB for mobile device recharging. The first complexes by Shvabe enterprise were installed in Yekaterinburg in late 2017 near the Ekaterinburg-Arena stadium where the matches of World Cup -2018 will be held.

The Holding also presented the Intelligent Transport System for monitoring the cameras and traffic in the city. The software complex allows for real-time monitoring of all connected cameras and traffic lights in the city, as well as receiving video information from them and managing them. The system is able to independently control switching of traffic lights based on information on traffic flow received from the cameras. At present the program is being tested in Moscow. Visitors to Intertraffic Amsterdam 2018 could run an online check of cameras in the capital of Russia and even start a camera cleaning process with the wipers.

Intertraffic Amsterdam has been held since 1972. Once every two years, the latest achievements in the field of urban infrastructure, traffic management, road safety, parking lots and others are demonstrated here. In 2018 more than 850 organizations from around the world participated in the exhibition . From March 20 to 23, over 30,000 specialists familiarized themselves with the latest developments of the companies.
