Shvabe Holding brought the novelties of Russian medical and biological safety industry to Arab Health 2021, held in the United Arab Emirates. Its stand featured devices for airborne pathogens detection, tele-health monitoring systems and laser treatment devices, among others.
In a first for The Middle East market, we saw the launch of “Detector-BIO”, developed by the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, named after Honorary Academician N.F. Gamaleya, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and Krasnogorsky Zavod, n.a. Zverev S. A. (KMZ). State trials of the device have been successfully completed. This automated airborne pathogen detection system is capable of identifying COVID-19 and other airborne viruses, as well as toxins and bacteria indoors.
Shvabe’s stand also demonstrated the products of its five subsidiaries: the Urals Optical and Mechanical Plant named after Mr. E. S. Yalamov (UOMZ), Lytkarino Optical Glass Factory (LZOS), Moscow plant “SAPPHIRE”, “POLYUS” Research Institute of M.F. Stelmakh, and “Shvabe-Moscow” LLC.
The major projects are the ALKhK-01-Zenit system, an automated laser surgery system for treatment of gynecological disorders, including oncology-associated diseases, the Obereg personal tele-medicine system (PTS) intended for vital signs remote monitoring and the mock-up models of mobile medical units.
"These high-tech medical products, in addition to their capabilities, are also indicative of our overall potential pertaining to high technology and knowledge-intensity. This is the potential we offer to the promising markets of the Middle East, the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, and Africa," noted Sergey Dmitrochenko, Deputy General Director of Shvabe.
The participants and visitors of Arab Health 2021 can also familiarize themselves with Shvabe's solutions in supplying and equipping mobile hospitals and special-purpose vehicles, such as ambulance cars, ambulance vehicles and mobile medical units - i.e. medical and obstetrical stations, vehicles for transportation of the disabled and some other special-purpose vehicles with medical equipment manufactured by the facilities of Shvabe Holding.
By tradition, Shvabe exhibits its neonatal, anesthesia, respiratory and intensive care equipment, including the MAIA-01 multi-function inhalation anesthetic unit, the “Radiant Heat – BONO” infrared warmer, the “BiliFlex” fiber optic phototherapy system and the first Russian-made BONNY mobile incubator. All of this equipment is produced by UOMZ. Laboratory equipment by LZOS and Moscow plant “SAPPHIRE” is also showcased at this exhibition.
Today, Shvabe Holding is also actively developing the manufacturing of crowd security products, providing protection against different hazards, both in healthcare and other applications. One of such projects is a new metal detector gate with thermal imaging camera by LZOS. Its modular structure allows configuring it in accordance with customer specifications and transforming the gate into a full-scale screening complex. On request, it can be fitted with explosives and hazardous chemicals detector, a radiation portal monitor designed to detect illicit trafficking of fissionable and radioactive materials or site access control management system. This new joint project by LZOS of Shvabe Holding and BLOCKPOST Company was introduced at the International Safety & Security Exhibition XIII held this May.
Arab Health, an international healthcare conference and trade show with a history of over 40 years, was held on 21-24 June in Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
